Our 2016 LBV Violeta port was matured in barrique casks for more than 6 years prior to bottling. Over those six years, the tannins have softened, and the fruit profile has become less primary and more complex, still showcasing a solid fruit profile but accentuated by aged notes of spice, cacao, and toasted nuts. We advise you to buy several bottles, some for opening now and some for laying down an additional 5 – 10 years.
